Pastora Bere was born and raised in the city of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. From a very young age, Pastora Bere felt God's call to ministry, which she describes using Teresa of Ávila's prayer/poem:

 

"Christ has no body, but yours; he has no hands, or feet on earth, but yours. Yours are the eyes with which he sees compassion in this world; yours are the feet with which he walks to do good ; yours are the hands, with which he blesses the whole world."

In August 2012, Pastora Bere arrives in the city of Indianapolis to begin her studies at Christian Theological Seminary, from which she graduated in December 2016 with a Master's Degree in Divinity and a Master's Degree in Family and Couple Therapy; Upon completion of her seminary studies, Pastor Bere was ordained to the Ministry by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Indiana in May 2017. During her seminary studies, Pastor Bere met her current husband, Rev. Ronnie Bell, who serves as Pastor of the United Methodist Church in Cumberland (east side of Indianapolis).

For our Pastor, her ministry revolves around preaching the word of God, fighting for justice, and recognizing the beauty and power of God in each person's life story.
