elsie ferrer  passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the age of 75. He was born on October 6, 1945 in Guayama, Puerto Rico to his parents Luis Bones and Dolores (Yera) Vega. Elsie graduated from Edison High School in Gary, Indiana. Elsie worked  as an event coordinator for Sallie Mae for over ten years. Elsie was not only a founding member of Iglesia Hermandad Cristiana, but she was truly an active member in every sense of the word. Elsie loved planning events, decorating spaces, and cooking. For Elsie her life revolved around her family and her church. Elsie dedicated herself to serving God in many ways, but served as a Sunday school teacher for over fifty years.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 27 at 2:00pm. Taking into account the well-being of all and all under the circumstances in which we live, the memorial service will be only for the family, and will be broadcast online on Facebook or YouTube.

Elsie is survived by her loving husband of 55 years of marriage, the Rev. Luis E. Ferrer; his son David Ferrer; his daughter  Michelle Ferrer; his grandsons and granddaughters: Megan Wilson, Jose Luis Ferrer, Josue Carlos Ferrer, and Juliana Ferrer; his mother, Dolores Vega; his brothers Jose Luis Bones, and Moses Bonez (Bonnie); and many other people who loved her as if she had been their mother, grandmother, and friend. Elsie was preceded in death by her father, Luis Bones Vega.

Instead of sending flowers, donations will be made to his church, Iglesia Hermandad Cristiana, in his memory and honor.
